Rijeka sky with cranes

This was actually taken last Saturday at 9 seconds past 6pm - central european time, but I forgot to submit it. I really like this photograph, because last Saturday was really strange around 10 minutes to 6pm, everything was a strange pinkish colour, and this photo is one from a series of photographs that I took.

This shot of the fantastic-looking sky was taken leaning out of my window, and those cranes are usually an unwelcome addition to the view, but in this case they really contribute (maybe I'm just crazy). The relatively low mountain range in the background is that of Učka.

Now if I had some good pastels, or even better, chalks, I'd try drawing this, but unfortunately they got thrown away two years ago by mistake. I must remember to buy some, this would surely look stunning with a smooth chalk technique.
