Törkenczy is the name of the giraffe - it's of my unique design and will one day appear on numerous bags, pencil-cases and other places. Törkenczy (note the umlaut on the "o") likes greeting and hugging people on the street, as well as dancing the jitterbug jive. It's a less known fact Törkenczy is also the author of a book on Hungarian grammar.
The young lady having coffee with Törkenczy is Vera, whom I know from high school, and who inspired this scene by (more or less jokingly) commenting that Törkenczy seemed like a "culturally aware" giraffe. It only seemed just to feature her in the drawing.
One day when I finally buy a drawing tablet you can expect my drawings to get a bit better.
of course... I promise to send you a promotional copy!
I've actually already got a t-shirt with Törkenczy; me and my friend wore them on the last day of high school. Of course the printing wasn't that great, so the image has faded a lot. It also cost us quite a sum, so I'll have to look for better solutions.
